A translation of Vesalius’ masterpiece is coming out this fall

De humani corporis fabrica  a milestone in both scientific thinking and publishing is coming out in English translation this fall.  I just received a flier offering me a special deal (at the low, low price of 935:- euros.  The text features digitally restored artwork, collated notes Vesalius apparently was keeping for a third edition, and some prefaces by the translators and introductions by two world-class minds from the history of medicine world: Vivian Nutton and Nancy Siraisi.  Now you know what’s on my list for Santa.
